Manufacturing - was from the begining of MEANDER company our main activity. At this time we produce wide sortiment of products and accessories mainly for cavers, climbers, rescue services and workers in hights - oversuits, bags, underwear, harnesses and other products and accessories. 

Trading -   Our first serious step on the market was the introduction and legalization of PETZL product line in slovakian market. Presently we carry a wide variety of competitively priced PETZL products. MEANDER introduced the light PETZL climbing stuff to the Slovak Fire Rescue Units as well as to Special Forces of the Slovak Police.

The major MEANDER business partner is the biggest Czech rope manufacturer LANEX. MEANDER is the only official distributor of LANEX climbing and static ropes sold under Trade-mark TENDON in Slovakia. The MEANDER - LANEX partnership except all marketing activities of LANEX ropes in Slovakia include after-sale service such as regular inspections of PPE, and of course continuous product testing.

In our MEANDER store, we also offer high quality products from manufatures such as SINGING ROCK, OROTEKT, AUSTRIALPINE, MAILON RAPIDE, SINGING ROCK, $MARTLINE, etc.

Education -  In 1992, the educational branch of MEANDER was the second organization in Slovakia to receive full accreditation from the Slovak Work Safety Board /SWSB/. Since then we teach specialized courses in the field of works on high structures.

In 2007 MEANDER received a new accreditation for
teaching the following courses:

- Work on high structures for groups
- Work on high structures using special techniques
- Work on high structures using rope techniques

MEANDER was one of the founding members of the High
Structure Work Safety Advisory Board. This board in
conjunction with the Slovak Work Safety Board and other
regulatory institutions is responsible for enforcing
the SWSB safety standards.

Other activities - As a company that is recognised for its expertise in the field of caving/climbing rope techniques as well as the techniques of personal safety, we co-operate with organizations such as JAMES (Slovak Mountaineering Association), HZS (Slovak Mountain Rescue).

Naturally, we also cooperate with the Slovak Speleological Society, especially in the field of caving/climbing techniques and safety issues related to movement in underground passages.
MEANDER co-operates with Slovak Institute of Metrology and Industrial Standards. Our staff provides expertise in testing of personal safety devices used for sports as well as on high structures.

MEANDER also likes to participate on adrenaline sport venues. In 1997, MEANDER was the key organizer of the "VELKY TRAVERZ" over the Zadiel Gorge. The lenght of the single rope bridge spanning across the canyon was 847 m, a record was recognized by the GUINESS BOOK OF RECORDS as the longest in the world.
