The "Velvet Revolution" in 1989 brought sweeping changes in our society including the liberalization of the economy, which allowed the establishment of our company- MEANDER Ltd. The founder of MEANDER, Mr. Gustav Stibranyi, is a long-time member of the Slovak Speleological Society, in which he acted as the Chairman of the Technical Commission for several years. During these years, Gustav was responsible for assuring the quality and technical norms of the caving gear used by the members. In addition, he also provided the members with variety of specialized technical caving gear and material of his own design.
After one year of operation MEANDER was registered as a "legal entity"- the only form of registration that allowed exporting products from then still Czechoslovakia. In 1992, the reform of the regulations governing the free allowed MEANDER to incorporate and since then we exist as MEANDER Ltd.
Since establishment, the company is steadily growing in terms of number of products, services, as well as number of employees.
In our clothing and manufacturing workshops we employ mainly women. Our team believes that only high quality products can assure long-term prosperity of our company. Over the past 20 years MEANDER provided a stable work environment for our employees, which is a very rare occurrence in the turbulent economic environment of our country.
In addition to manufacturing, MEANDER periodically offers a variety of courses in rigging, rope and safety techniques for work on high structures based on the accreditation of the Slovak Occupational Safety Office.
